Last week it was fishing lures on the tower. This week Legacy Parks says a third mural for the SoKno Rail Trail & Art Walk is under way, on the back of Kern's: Anna Charney's design celebrates Tennessee's botanical beauty with stylized dogwood, trillium, common milkweed, blue iris, passionflower and tulip poplar. It joins Naomi Haverland's Shiny Objects, which was finished last month.
The art is already off the walls, too. Two large-scale sculptures by Nathan Pierce and Brian Ferriby are now installed along the trail, and Legacy Parks promises more sections of trail, more murals and more sculptures in the coming weeks. Watching a wall get painted costs nothing; Kern's is open seven to eleven Thursday and Friday, eight to eleven Saturday and nine to nine Sunday.
