The Pink Cactus celebrates Día de los Muertos Sunday with a free cumbia class, catrina face paint and an ofrenda
The avenue's one all-ages event of the weekend.

The Pink Cactus closes Halloween weekend with Día de los Muertos on Sunday, November 1, from five to nine. The venue's bilingual post lists a free cumbia dance class with Nery and Ramón, free catrina makeup, the traditional skull face paint, and an ofrenda, the altar of photographs, marigolds and favorite foods that is the heart of the Day of the Dead, with an invitation to come with families and friends. It is the one Halloween-weekend event on the avenue that is built for all ages, and the venue's kitchen does arepas and flatbreads for anyone who stays for dinner.
