Self Care Sunday is an hour of yoga outdoors at Ijams Park with Hope Irwin, eleven thirty to twelve thirty. Ten dollars for anyone thirteen and up, five for children five to thirteen. A parent and two kids comes to twenty dollars for the morning, which is not a sentence you get to write about much of this weekend.
About the heat
It is going to be about ninety-three degrees Sunday and the class is at the warm end of the morning, so this is a water-and-shade situation rather than a gentle-breeze one. Bring your own mat. The upside of an outdoor class in September is the same as it always is — birdsong instead of a speaker, and the walk back to the car through the woods.
It stacks neatly with the rest of Sunday: painting starts at eleven, the mushroom workshop at twelve thirty, and the bluegrass jam at two. You could reasonably do two of the four.
