There is a theater inside the yellow building with the possum on it. Borderland Tees, the screen-printing shop at 802 Sevier Avenue, has a playhouse, and since September 17 Knoxville Theatre Club has been using it for Henrik Ibsen's "Hedda Gabler": a Victorian parlor, a general's daughter with very little patience for the life she has been handed, and one of the great bad decisions in drama. This is the last weekend. The final two performances are Friday and Saturday at seven, with no Sunday matinee.
How the tickets work
The club lets you choose what you pay: $35, $20, $15 or $5 a ticket, and you can pick a different price for each seat you buy. Its reasoning is that the show should be open to everyone and that those who can pay the top price cover the real cost of paying the actors and crew. Seating is first come, first served, so reserve online and arrive early. Borderland Tees says there is plenty of free parking at the shop for the play.
