First Friday in Old Sevier is the night the district's shops, galleries and bars all schedule something at once, and October's is a full one. The Old Sevier District's own game plan for the night runs from an art opening at six to a dance floor that goes past midnight. Here is the order it suggests.
The practical part
Park once. The Riverwalk Garage sits at the west end of the district and the gravel lot under the James White Parkway bridge at the east end, and the stops are a walk or a short hop apart. Tennessee's voter registration deadline is days away, which is why Printshop has given its First Friday to it. Fly by Night is closed from 6:30 to 11 for a private party. There is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly after eight, and nearly everything on the list is indoors.
