A correction, and a gift: Shakespeare is still on at Ijams Park
Last week we called it the closing weekend. The calendar disagrees — performances run through August 9, including all four nights this weekend and a Sunday matinee.

- Sat Aug 1

First, the correction, because we'd rather eat it plainly than quietly: last week this page called it Shakespeare's closing weekend at Ijams Park. It wasn't. The Tennessee Stage Company's festival runs through August 9, and both companies of players are on the lawn all four nights of this weekend. The error was ours, and if it nudged you off the couch a week early — well, there are worse mistakes.
What's actually on
So here's what's actually on: The Merry Wives of Windsor Thursday and Saturday, King Henry V Friday — and Sunday, Henry V does a two o'clock matinee and a 7:30 evening show. Thursday remains pay-what-you-can, kids under fifteen are free, parking's free thirty minutes before curtain, and the lawn is still the seating, so bring the chair.
And you now have two more weekends beyond this one. Consider the record corrected and the bar lowered for your excuses.
