Emo drag, Sunday bluegrass, and a stained-glass class
The Sevier Avenue breweries carry the weekend's nightlife: Hi-Wire goes emo on Saturday, Alliance goes bluegrass on Sunday, and there's a suncatcher to make in between.

Saturday night, Hi-Wire on Barber Street throws "Panic! At the Drag Show" — an emo-themed drag night, nine to close, eighteen and up, eight bucks in advance. It is exactly as much fun as it sounds, and precisely the kind of thing that makes a brewery district a neighborhood.
Sunday slows the tempo way down. Hi-Wire hosts an Intro to Stained Glass workshop from two to four — eighty dollars for the class, materials included, and you leave with a copper-foil suncatcher of your own; ages fourteen and up. And around the corner, Alliance Brewing on Sevier Avenue has the Breadlosers playing free bluegrass at four, all ages, the kind of easy Sunday-afternoon set you can bring the porch energy to.
Between the two rooms that's a full weekend of Old Sevier nightlife without repeating yourself once.
